Secure Quantum Software through AI: Qseidon is Part of the EU Research Project SecQDevOps

The development of quantum computing hardware is advancing rapidly. However, to use quantum systems reliably in real-world applications, robust and highly secure software architectures are equally essential.
With the official kick-off in Frankfurt am Main, the new EU research project SecQDevOps (Trustworthy Quantum DevOps for Secure Software and Hardware Quantum Engineering) has now started. We are very pleased that Qseidon GmbH is part of the international consortium contributing to this groundbreaking initiative.
Project Objective: A Secure DevOps Pipeline for the Quantum Era
The SecQDevOps project is funded under the European Horizon Europe framework programme with approximately €6 million over a period of 36 months.
With 16 participating partners – including leading universities, research institutions, established consulting companies such as BearingPoint, and highly specialised SMEs – the project addresses one of the key challenges in quantum computing: the development of robust and secure quantum software.
At the core of SecQDevOps is the development of an end-to-end, automated DevOps pipeline designed specifically for the requirements of quantum hardware and software:
- Security through specialised AI models: Tailored AI approaches will support security analysis and vulnerability detection directly during the development process and in real time.
- Hardware-aware compilation: High-level quantum programming languages will be translated and optimised in a way that takes the device-specific characteristics and noise profiles of the target hardware into account.
- The “Internet of Quantum Things” (IoQT): As a distinctive feature of the project, a distributed testing environment will be created to securely connect emulated and real quantum nodes and enable collaborative testing.

For us at Qseidon, participating in SecQDevOps is a natural continuation of our vision: actively shaping the security of tomorrow today.
By contributing our expertise in cybersecurity, AI, and quantum computing, we are helping to establish open standards and practical frameworks for trustworthy quantum technologies in Europe.
